Lift Every Step is a nonprofit founded in February 2026 on a simple idea: a good pair of shoes can change someone's day, confidence, and opportunities.

We collect gently used and new shoes and distribute them to shelters, schools, and community centers across the DMV area. For many in our community, not having proper footwear stands in the way of getting a job, going to school, or just feeling comfortable day to day. We're here to remove that barrier, one step at a time.
